Hey y’all, another week down here in Benin, Africa!  Bullet points • had a family night at Bernards house. Had like 27 people there, it was awesome! Ate some fire food after, great time, everyone was engaged and loved it!  • been getting all our baptismal candidates ready for this big group baptism we are doing so not alot of time to find but God still helps us! Found a group of bros that are super interested and loved the Book of Mormon • when we were up in Sakete the member that usally helps us was gone...weird...but we went and did our lessons and when we got back to the car to leave the member came walking up with a bag...we asked what was in said bag, he looked at us with a smirk on his face and said "we went hunting..." instantly I was interested, asked what it was and it was a HUGE Rat big enough to be a small dog! He said him and his buddy wanted to eat rat tonight so they went hunting and got one and now were about to cook it.  Man, how badly I wanted to stay and...

  Hello everyone, how are you? I hope you are doing well! Week:  - went to dinner for a member's birthday, ate a good pizza  - got hit by another moto, broke something in his bike, he didn't say anything and walked away. We chased him and gave him some money to fix his moto  - ate a cat...yes in fact I have eaten a cat. The other companionship bought it and gave some to us. They told us they drowned the cat in a bucket of water to kill it...then skinned it and cooked it right there for them! The cat tasted kinda like you took a cat and killed it, then grilled it on the side of a dirty,  dirt road in West Africa. - worked like absolute Dawgs getting our friends all ready for the group baptism we are doing August 3rd, we have a goal with the two companionships to get 30 baptisms!  - The breaks on Elder Smiths bike broke and so the tire wouldn't turn, a mechanic just took the whole brake mechanism off with some allen wrenches and a hammer...works now, but...

Hey y’all, this week has been so cool saw some miracles!  We are trying to plan a big group baptism for August 3rd, before Elder Smith goes home. Please pray for our friends we have on date right now, that they will stay strong and continue to progress!  Not much stuff this week to talk about. Bought some oranges from children on the road. Oldest was 10, youngest was 6, had been walking around all day trying to sell all the oranges...I bought alot so they could go home.  One cool thing did happen this week. I was watching the documentary on Thomas S. Monson, it's good go watch it. I had a feeling to go study the Christlike attribute "humility" so of course I stopped what I was doing and went and studied humility and I rediscovered this scripture that touched the fleshy tables of my heart, Ether 12:27.    "And if men come unto me I will show unto them their weakness. I give unto men weakness that they may be humble; and My grace is sufficient for all men that hum...

HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY!! Hope y'all ate steaks and burgers!  Bullet points (email me for stories)  • Had a great family night with a 4 member families  • Got a cool video of a voodoo god. Great week! Let me tell you about it!!  Start off, Tuesday morning, ate WAY to many broccolis body could not handle fiber like that. Huge stomachache all day, bad stomach cramps, felt like i may die...but i was a big boy and fought through it.  Second off, saw a voodoo god, he said "give me 5000 and I'll find you a wife", we said no and have him 300 and took a picture with him. Chill dude inside a weird costume, go check out google photos to see it, he crouches down for pictures, he's a normal size man, don't worry y’all, it's fake. Had to tell some kids they have more power than he does because they have the Aaronic Priesthood.  Third off, had so many spiritual lessons. Put like 13 people on date! July is gonna be lit!!! So cool seeing them feel and recognize the spirit for the first time! The mission is great y'all!  Fourth off, I T-boned a motto. Good week, have a good read!  This week was so good! Gonna break it down by days. Monday: Went to the beach with the district it was so lit! We made the "Benin Temple" out of sand then made a huge wall to protect it from the waves it was a great district activity! Then, us and the ZL's went to a market to look for some paigne then back to the ZLs apartment to talk with fam.  Tuesday: Today  I had an exchange with Elder Black from Utah one of our ZLs and he just hit a year, he is such a cool guy and we had a lot of fun talking and I learned a lot from him! One of their new converts we met was having some problems with his neighbors and the police, but it all got worked out!  Wednesday: Today was a good day! Had fun time working with members and visting friends! The two members both want to serve missions and learn English so we decided to help them a little! We taught them the word "Poop" and they were pretty much yelling it and we wouldn't tell them what it ...
