August 3rd baptisms

Hey y’all, this week has been so cool saw some miracles! 

We are trying to plan a big group baptism for August 3rd, before Elder Smith goes home. Please pray for our friends we have on date right now, that they will stay strong and continue to progress! 

Not much stuff this week to talk about. Bought some oranges from children on the road. Oldest was 10, youngest was 6, had been walking around all day trying to sell all the oranges...I bought alot so they could go home. 

One cool thing did happen this week. I was watching the documentary on Thomas S. Monson, it's good go watch it. I had a feeling to go study the Christlike attribute "humility" so of course I stopped what I was doing and went and studied humility and I rediscovered this scripture that touched the fleshy tables of my heart, Ether 12:27.
   "And if men come unto me I will show unto them their weakness. I give unto men weakness that they may be humble; and My grace is sufficient for all men that humble themselves before Me; for if they humble themselves before Me, and have faith in Me, then will I make weak things become strong unto them."

This is such a good scripture, God knows our weaknesses, he gave then to us so that we will be humble unto him and we can see him change us and preform miracles and we become strong. I've seen it in my life and I know as you humble yourselves before God or continue to do so, He will make you stronger than you can ever imagine!

So, this week was great! We started French and found out we get out a week early! I have 2 more weeks, then I'm in Benin! 14 days! I'm so excited to go serve the people of my mission! We are leaving a week early because some of the mission presidents in Africa have a big conference the next week, so anyone who was suppose to leave that week is leaving earlier so their president is there to greet the new missionaries.   So, here's the weekly Lelekumo section: There's a new elder here from Korea (Elder Yoo) and Lelekumo is so curious about him and he asked him if he know a couple different Chinese actors and Elder Yoo goes “No, they are from China, I'm from Korea" and Lelekumo goes "ohhh OK" then goes quiet for a few minutes while we all talk.  Andy met with the Stake President, President Averett, tonight.  And then we were able to meet with them and Andy pushed the submit button.  EEKKK....a little bit of tears from mom, and excitement all  around.  The wait has been about 8-20 days....so now we wait.  So proud of Andy and his desire to serve and represent our Heavenly  Father.
