Hey yall! Another week in Africa down and I loved every second of it!! So, let's go over some highlights of this week, shall we? First off: finally met some people that did Voodoo and it was pretty fun. They seemed like normal people but, when we asked them to come to church they started dancing chanting "we do Voodoo!" And something else i didn't understand (think it was évé) and we just turned around and walked away, pretty fun! Not what I was expecting from Voodoo people and to be honest they could have been lying so we would leave. It worked tho! Second: put two more friends on date for baptism!! One dude was being taught in Benin before moving here and our first time meeting him he said "I need to be baptized, I am ready" and so we came to with a plan on when to teach him the lessons and he's already coming to church so November 23rd here we come! He's so excited! Talking about baptisms! We got one this Saturday! We have been teaching this sis...
Hey yall!! One full week down in the field!! It's been such a fever dream I don't even know where to begin. I am loving it here, sure I'll love it even more when I know French, I'm improving every day tho so I'm getting better! First off! We have 3 people on date for baptism! 1 this week and 2 next week and I think tomorrow we are inviting another dude to be baptized, we have only taught him once but he has been coming to church with his friend for months, has read the BOM, loves the church and believes it all, so we just got to help him understand some questions he has a little more and he will be ready! His friend, Bola, has also been such a big help, he comes with us to lessons and really helps this guy feel comfortable. Bola has such a strong testimony about the church, when he shares it with you (even in French) you can feel the spirit so strong. Anyways, let's talk about this title shall we? So, I've been cat called every time we leave the house. It...
I feel like I'm in the movie scene when Aladdin and Jasmine are riding the magic carpet seeing a whole new world with this transfer! My magic carpet is my trusty good ol' Chevrolegs, Elder Miller is my Jasmine, and I am Aladdin singing for all the world...but instead of seeing the world we are walking down dirt roads getting "cat called" and my magic carpet is not zooming us anywhere, Elder Miller...well he's not a girl so he can't be Jasmine, and instead of singing I'm actually just dripping with sweat...ANYWAYS LET'S TALK ABOUT THIS WEEK! 🚭IMPORTANT🚭 If you aren't in my immediate family, you may have notcied my google photos album is missing...it is actually against the rules in this mission to have anyone in it that's not family in the album (past missionaries were stupid...) but I was just gonna ignore that rule cause i thought it was dumb...but in my interview with president the thought "obedience brings blessing...EXACT obedience...
