Andy's call came on Tuesday! Because of lacrosse every evening and wanting his brothers and sisters, and all his friends over, he wanted until Sunday. It's been sitting on our mantle in an envelope. When Andy was 8, and in cub scouts, he did a time capsule to open with he got his mission call. He opened it at dinner, and it was so fun to look thru all the pictures he put in there, and the other treasures that 8 year old Andy thought were important.
This week was another good one! Had a member meal Friday and it was so fun! I also bought some sick paigne for Malena and Josh, I bet a momma a 100 francs it would rain and it did...then I made another bet with her son and lost that 100 francs…I'll get it back don't worry! That's all I remember tbh, so here's a spiritual thought! So, a good friend of mine on their mission said in an email a few weeks ago that if you listen to one conference talk a day you'd be finished right before this next confrence so I decided to do it, one a day every day. It's been lit! Learning a lot and its crazy how a lot of it stands out, stuff that didn't stand out the first time I watched it all in the MTC... Holy crap does not feel like Christmas! Probably cause it’s about 90 degrees with 78 % humity as I'm writing this… it's super weird to think it's Christmas already! I miss the snow and the cold and not sweating 24/7, y'all that are cold rn...your lucky! Tuesday we had our zone conference and it was lit! We talked about spiritual gifts that God has given us and how we can use it to better fulfill our mission objective! We also talked about our mission wide vision and goals...let me tell ya, some BIG things are gonna happen to the Benin Cotonou mission these next couple years 😎 it’s gonna be legit! Then after for lunch they made us all T-bone steaks from Salt Lake City! It was the first real beef I've had (the beef here isn't normal) and it was delicious! Got talking with president Lundeen, turns out he's an avid hunter! So of course we talked about it for like an hour about deer hunting and elk and just about the outdoors!
