Mouse Killaz
Hello y'all, good week. Let me tell ya about it!
So, this last week was transfers. On Tuesday and Wednesday we went and taught some of our baptismal candidates and said goodbye to friends and members! Good times!
Thursday was travel day! We went to the stake center in Cotonou in the morning and I loaded up on the bus to Togo and was able to sit by the trainees coming it, the two Americans seems a little scared, but were excited to get it going and learn a lot of stuff. I was able to drop some knowledge and advice for them to use 😏 I'm such a wise old missionary now! I was able to meet my new comp, Elder Wensel. He just got out of training but he's a dawg, he's a hard worker and we gonna blow this sector up!
Note: Kpalime apartment is invested with mice, mainly the couches so sitting on them you can hear them squeaking and running around. We have been using the small lacrosse sticks to hunt them down by shaking the couches and when they come out going d-midi slash style and kill them… it's been a fun time!
Friday-Saturday were good work days, figuring out the area and visiting friends and members. It was a good few days! This area has mountains and any time I see them I get a little shot of dopamine in my brain and it makes me so happy to see mountains, even of they are hills in Utah...
Sunday was great! I gave a short talk and felt the spirit truely guide me in what to say and talk about. After a few members told me that the talk really helped them! I also have a goal to learn EVERY person's name, in all my old areas I new most members and kind of their names but here because its a smaller branch I decided to learn everyone's name and truely be their friend. A basic thing all missionaries should do i know, but it's something i gotta work on!
Today for p-day i spent a good part of it beating at the dirt...i remade my garden here and it was alittle harder than in Porto-Novo. There are more rocks here so that was a little more difficult. I think Elder Wensel thinks I'm crazy, but he'll see in a few weeks when corn and tomatoes are sprouting!
Spiritual thought:
Pray and have faith, literally everything starts when we pray and have faith. Can't do anything or grow spiritually without those two bases!
That's it for this week y'all! I hope you have a great week!
Love
