Mystery Guest!

This week was in fact a week...Let me tell ya about it!

Tuesday:
Was in-fact my birthday! I am 20, and in the morning Elder Yao and Elder Palmer were so nice and surprised me with a cake and balloons! Then, in the evening we went to a members house and celebrated a little and ate some DELICIOUS pate. y'all it was so good! Then, gotta call the fam...they decided to celebrate my birthday by going to Lake Powell for the week...

Wednesday- Saturday:
Normal things... teaching, eating, sleeping, getting called Yovo, had some hard lessons that just show how much the gospel is truly needed in everyone's lives, great stuff!

Sunday:
Sunday we had a multi-stake conference, it was awesome! So many people there and not enough chairs so all the missionaries were sitting outside on the grass all around the building! We had a special guest who is well known around the church as an apostle. Gary E. Stevenson came to Benin! Super cool! Man dropped some spiritual knowledge on the stake and the YSA, lit Sunday

Monday:
Had a mission wide zone conference, Togo and Benin! Everyone came and all 155 of us got to listen and shake hands with Elder Stevenson, such a cool day, guys. Got spiritually feed to the max. I had some questions and they were all answered. He talked for about an hour then says “well, this isn't where I thought this was gonna go, but the spirit guided me here" and man just dropped bars on us for 2 hours but, felt like 20 min. It was an awesome experience! And, after got to see the guys I came out with, it was lit catching up and seeing how we have all changed, physically and spiritually! Africa is a great place.

Spiritual thought:
Of course I’m going to use something Elder Stevenson talked about with us. He answered one of my questions "How do I know I'm the missionary God needs" and as Elder Stevenson talked he talked about how as missionaries we are EXACTLY where God needs us at all times, we are EXACTLY who we need to be at that time, and we are EXACTLY with who we need to be with. When he said that I could feel the spirit punching the fleshy tables of my heart and confirming that yes I will keep growing and being better,  but right now I am exactly what God needs for these people. What a powerful message that man shared.

Anyways
That's all folks! Thanks for reading. See you next time!

Love,
Elder McKee
