Bullet points typa week

- Was in a Trio for a few days! It was lit! Lots of fun working with Elder Yao and Palmer! 
- Got my fils (son) Wednesday night! Elder Barnes! From Texas, chill dude super strong work ethic and ready to get it into the work! 
- Went and visited some new members and it blows their mind that Elder Barnes doesn't understand them real well! 
- Had a mouse in the house...ran down the shower drain while Elder Barnes was showering his second night...welcome to Africa!
- A dude came up and pulled a old, dull knife on us and said "give me water" I said "no" and he said "dang it" and walked away…weird, never had that happen before 🗡
- Elder Barnes and I got some cookies and I decided to give my last one to a kid on the road...it was in the wrapper still...Elder Barnes didn't know mine had a cookie in it and gave the kid his empty wrapper...then as walking away he goes "so why'd we give that kid our trash?" 😂 that made my day. 
- broke another bike while in the trio...oops 


This last week Elder Barnes shared a scripture I really liked
Moroni 10:33 
It talks about how through the crucifixion of Christ we can all become perfect before God without a mark on us! How cool is that! We are perfect before God because of Jesus Christ, obviously there's some things we got to do to have that but man dude, Christ is so cool, I love him! 

Anyways…. my family is in Powell...without me...pray they will have fun!!

So, this week was great! We started French and found out we get out a week early! I have 2 more weeks, then I'm in Benin! 14 days! I'm so excited to go serve the people of my mission! We are leaving a week early because some of the mission presidents in Africa have a big conference the next week, so anyone who was suppose to leave that week is leaving earlier so their president is there to greet the new missionaries.   So, here's the weekly Lelekumo section: There's a new elder here from Korea (Elder Yoo) and Lelekumo is so curious about him and he asked him if he know a couple different Chinese actors and Elder Yoo goes “No, they are from China, I'm from Korea" and Lelekumo goes "ohhh OK" then goes quiet for a few minutes while we all talk.  Andy met with the Stake President, President Averett, tonight.  And then we were able to meet with them and Andy pushed the submit button.  EEKKK....a little bit of tears from mom, and excitement all  around.  The wait has been about 8-20 days....so now we wait.  So proud of Andy and his desire to serve and represent our Heavenly  Father.

M.C.KEHHHHH!!

Hey yall! Another week in Africa down and I loved every second of it!! So, let's go over some highlights of this week, shall we? First off: finally met some people that did Voodoo and it was pretty fun. They seemed like normal people but, when we asked them to come to church they started dancing chanting "we do Voodoo!" And something else i didn't understand (think it was évé) and we just turned around and walked away, pretty fun! Not what I was expecting from Voodoo people and to be honest they could have been lying so we would leave.  It worked tho!  Second: put two more friends on date for baptism!! One dude was being taught in Benin before moving here and our first time meeting him he said "I need to be baptized, I am ready" and so we came to with a plan on when to teach him the lessons and he's already coming to church so November 23rd here we come!
