Final Week....

Yo whats up y'all, here's my week!

It was the last week of the mission for elder Smith! So of course we went all out with eating African food, almost every meal was an African meal, pate, attcheke, attacy (idk how to spell it), etc
It was amazing, such good meals with such amazing people. The members here are amazing and such kind souls, they are some of the best people I have ever met!

Some cool things that that happened
• Had a surprise mission wide call on Friday and got the news that Elder Stevenson is coming to Benin at the end of this month! First apostle in the history of Benin mission to be here!
• Transfer calls! I will be having a child everyone! I am training and can't wait to meet my son this Wednesday! So excited!
• Got to have a lot of fun with members and friends this week saying goodbye
• Went on an exchange with Elder Yao to the middle of nowhere, lit rendezvous, and had a lot of fun with him!
• Rode the bikes for a fat minute and got close to the Nigerian boarder
• Got to drop Elder Smith off at the offices to go see his family again...bitter sweet moment! I’m  going to miss him, but so excited for him to see his family!

Some not to cool things that happened
• Had some bad stomach pains (senior couple said it's cause I drink well water)
• Got gently chastised cause I drink well water...
• Watched a crazy dude throw big rocks at cars and mottos, hit a car and broke the windshield! Dude driving was super nice and didn't beat the dude up...cops came and did absolutely nothing...L for Begin cops
• Had to drop Elder Smith off at the office...

So this last week was awesome! I am in a Trio with Elder Yao and Elder Palmer until Wednesday night when we go get my fils(son)! Super excited to train! It’s weird, I will be sleeping in a room by myself for a couple days! Very weird feeling...

This last week I was  surprised to learn Ii was giving a talk as they started sacrament meeting. (the usual for us missionaries) and as I opened my phone to find a topic to talk about I was brought to the sons of Mosiah...their dedication to the missionary work was awesome. They truly are such good examples of missionaries. They were dedicated in the hardest lands, teaching the people with the hardest of hearts. But, they trusted the Lord and His spirit and were able to help those children of God come to Christ. They did 3 things that stood out to me and that’s what I talked about Sunday
1. They prayed for the spirit
2. They fasted for the spirit
3. They studied for the spirit
They did these three things and with each they spoke with boldness, trusting the spirit they have worked to have. Are we doing these things before we go and help others come to Christ? Or, are we just going and giving them good information??

I have been thinking about that myself and I am scared more often that not I am giving good information but don't have the spirit with me like I should!

Anyways, have a great week y'all! Tell ya about my fils next week! Love you!
