Happy Easter

Fun week...let me tell ya about it 😁😁


This week was fun. We did a lot of finding so here's some bullet points of the type people we found: 
• a dude that told us he was going to kill all white people cause we colonized them. We informed him we are Americans not French, and he said “that's alittle better...im still gonna kill you all though" we left 
• a dude who kept refuring to us as pastors and saying "church of Joseph Smith" we corrected on both.
• a cool family that loved the Book of Mormon, and my amazing patte=Bible sauce=Book of Mormon analogy (hit me up if you want to hear it) 
• a women who really wants me to find a phone for her, I told her if she gives me money I'll get it, she refused 
• sassy sowing girls 
• a cool family that is extremely rich, then the dad went to France and guard said no we couldn’t visit 
• a women that we carried coconuts for, about 2 miles later arriving at designation, we tried to teach and no one there was interested  
• voodoo people who were about to sacrifice a chicken

All in all a fun week! People of Africa are funny and sometimes make no sense… I love it here! One dudes brain, I'm pretty sure, literally melted upon seeing white people and he didn't know what to do besides stick his tongue out and shake it like this 😛

it has been super hot and humid and I want rain really bad...can y'all pray for the rains down in Africa? Especially Togo for me 😁😁y'all are the best. 

This week I read in 2 Nephi 31 and it is a very good chapter y'all should go read it all rn, but one verse I liked a lot was 2 Nephi 31:18 it talks about if we follow the commandments and have entered into the narrow path and stay the course then we will receive eternal life. But, what I like is it says what we need to do, and if we do those things, then we will receive eternal life and feel the joy of Christ! 
Also, colored pencils while studying are the best, feel like I'm coloring a picture with all my color coordinations I'm doing!

So, this week was great! We started French and found out we get out a week early! I have 2 more weeks, then I'm in Benin! 14 days! I'm so excited to go serve the people of my mission! We are leaving a week early because some of the mission presidents in Africa have a big conference the next week, so anyone who was suppose to leave that week is leaving earlier so their president is there to greet the new missionaries.   So, here's the weekly Lelekumo section: There's a new elder here from Korea (Elder Yoo) and Lelekumo is so curious about him and he asked him if he know a couple different Chinese actors and Elder Yoo goes “No, they are from China, I'm from Korea" and Lelekumo goes "ohhh OK" then goes quiet for a few minutes while we all talk.  Andy met with the Stake President, President Averett, tonight.  And then we were able to meet with them and Andy pushed the submit button.  EEKKK....a little bit of tears from mom, and excitement all  around.  The wait has been about 8-20 days....so now we wait.  So proud of Andy and his desire to serve and represent our Heavenly  Father.
