NAILED IN THE HEAD
Yeahhh what's up everyone! j’espère que vous allez bien! (this sentence was added to show I speak French 😁)
This week was a good week! On Tuesday we had Zone Conference! Pretty lit President came out and dropped some absolutely amazing knowledge on all of us about how we can be as visionary as President Russell M. Nelson, and receive revelations and visions for our sector and lives. Then, his wife, sœar Lundeen came out and dropped even more knowledge on us about listening with the intent to learn, not to respond, pretty gas!! "learn to listen, listen to learn"
All in all a lit Zone Conference. Afterwords President hit me with the "show me these fish your dad was catching?" (he does read our weekly emails!) and me, him and Elder Rodriguez (senior missionary) spent a good 5-10 minutes talking about those fish and mahi mahis and fishing in general (we all miss it deeply, please help!)
Wednesday we had some lit rendezvous in a new area we worked, fields are ready mes amis! and in the afternoon we went to our juice momma to get some absolute fire fresh made juice, and this is where the title comes from so listen up...
Her little "boutique" is a table with a roof on top and a bunch of nails sticking out (some rusty some not) and we always do our best to avoid them...well this week I forgot...and after helping cut the fruit and juice a little I went walking around to the front i walked with my head down and walked RIGHT INTO A NAIL, I felt it scrap my head and it definitely tickled my brain just a little.
I looked for blood but didnt find much... hair was definitely soaking it up, good thing I've got my tetanus shot!
Thursday was a solid day, taught some lessons, felt the spirit, living the best life! Had English connect, but a little storm decided to roll on in and no one came (Africans are scared of rain) so me and Miller stood outside cause it felt so good! and watched the lighting!
Friday and Saturday are kind of a blur but they were both solid days, having a party out here! Helping random people do random things like cut branches off a tree to make a broom or fan their fires to make food...or flip the fish they are smoking, pretty fun! We had a member meal on Friday and it was so fun! We talked about their missions and a whole bunch of random things! It was a lot of fun! We were laughing and yelling and just eating delicious food! Sorry, no pictures...just trust me it happened.
Sunday, Ward Conference and man does the Sanguera ward cares about ward conference, matching ties, cleaning the church like never before, printing invites, they see it as if the Prophet Russel M. Nelson himself was coming to church! It was such a good service with so many people we over flowed the church and were outside! Had great talks and a beautiful musical number by the choir!
SPIRITUAL THOUGHT: His Hand is Ready to Help Us by Elder Juan Pablo Villar.
This was a great talk, he told a story about him getting dragged out to sea a couple times and his brother saving him. He related it to Christ always being there READY to help us we just need to cry out for His help and He will be there, every. single. time. He will never say "nahhh this is the 15th time this week your on your own"
Christ is always there for us in any circumstances, just gotta ask for help! I know from experience He's there the second we ask, if needed giving us a little spirit hug! Just gotta ask my friends, just gotta ask!
the talk:
